Turn Around Time

Standard turnaround time for most orders is 10-14 business days from the time of deposit and approval of your proof. This does not include ship time. Some types of prints may take longer, such as full color process and oversized prints. Please note we are not open for national holidays and these days will add to the turnaround time of your order. We do our best to keep our turnaround time as quick as possible and average around 7 working days. However, if you NEED your garments by a certain deadline, let us know up front prior to your order, and we can see if it’s possible— rush fees may apply.

Please Note: Ordering multiple designs at one time, adding inside tagging, specialty inks and/or fulfillment services will add to our standard turn time.

Minimums

Our minimum for screen printing is

24 pieces

No minimum for Sublimated shirts.
Please note: it’s always more cost effective to order in bulk.

No minimum for HTV shirts.
Please note: it’s always more cost effective to order in bulk.

Payment

Orders must be accompanied by at least a 50% deposit before the order begins unless otherwise approved by SDF. We accept cash, checks, Venmo, Cash app, Zelle, and credit cards (American Express, Discover, Master Card, Visa). If you pay via check, the turn around time clock on your order will not begin until your check clears. A $50 charge will be issued for return checks. Payments made via credit card are subject to a processing fee that could change without notice.

Example: Acme, Inc. emails SDF about placing a T-Shirt order. SDF sends Acme a Quote. Acme approves the quote and SDF sends an Invoice. Acme waits 3 weeks, then pays for the order. Once payment is received, SDF places the order on the schedule

Art Guidelines

All files must be 300 DPI or vector format. If created in Photoshop please send artwork with layers and sized up to the final print. If created in Illustrator, please make sure text is converted to outlines. Printing can only be as good as the artwork. SDF will not be responsible for poor quality printing due to poor artwork. SDF is not responsible for any misspellings, errors, or issues in your art file. We do our best to catch these errors and point them out to you, but we may not catch them all. If it is in your art file and on your approval, that is how we will print it. Acceptable formats are EPS, PSD, AI, and PDF.

Print Location & Print Size

It is the customer’s responsibility to provide details in regard to print placement and size. If no details are provided SDF will print in standard sizes and locations (ex: Chest Print, Print to start 2’’-3’’ inches below collar.) The best way to gauge your print size is to lay a shirt (in the sizes you wish to have printed) flat and use a ruler to measure out the print area. Please keep in mind the scale of the print will vary on different sized garments and all items of an order will be printed with the same set of screens, unless a resize is ordered.

Standard Imprint Area is 12” x 15”. Anything larger is considered an Oversized print and will incur additional costs.

Print Placement Variance

There is a human element involved in screen printing. As much as we try to automate there is still going to be someone constructing t-shirts by hand and loading them on the press by hand. Due to this, we cannot be held liable for printing placements up to a 1/2” in variance. Shifts in the image up to a 1/2” are going to occur. We do our best to load the shirts for optimal placement in accordance to the proof. Anything within this threshold will not be considered a misprint.

Manufacture Defects and Customer Supplied Garments

SDF is not responsible for manufacturer defects such as color inconsistencies, stitching errors, mislabeled garments, loose/inconsistent stitching, and/or garment defects (holes in garments, ripped seams, etc.). We try our hardest to inspect the garments as we print them, but we cannot guarantee each garment. We are not the manufacturers of these garments, so we cannot ensure their construction. We highly recommend ordering 5% extra of each size if an exact count is very important.

SDF will not be held liable for any misprints or defects that may occur during the printing process with customer supplied garments. No refunds will be given and no replacements will be made.

Over & Under Run

SDF will not be held responsible for spoilage due to inconsistencies in the print on up to 3% of the order total. In some cases extra garments will be included in an order. These are extras we supply in an attempt to keep spoilage percentages as low as possible. However, this can also mean a shortage of up to 3% on your order. Upon completion of your product, all the garments are counted, and if the order is short at all we credit back your account as soon as we send out the order.

PLEASE NOTE: If you have an event or exact quantities are needed you will need to either account for this spoilage or let us know in advance that the order needs to be exact. This can add to production time as well as cost.

Water Based & Discharge Prints

Discharge and Water Based prints work best on 100% cotton garments. Due to the nature of discharge printing, SDF will not be liable for minor inconsistencies found in the print and will not issue refunds for this service. It can be hard to achieve an exact Pantone match with Discharge, though we can get very close. Also, there can be more spoilage since some shirts won’t discharge out as well as others. If you prefer this method of printing, either be open to a small percentage of variance, or have extras ordered.

Order Cancellation/Changes to order

Cancellations made after an order has been placed will be subject to a 30% restocking fee plus any additional fees required to cover services already rendered. No cancellations will be accepted once production or any manipulation of the garments (tag removal, printed tags, printing, etc.) has begun on the order. 

Any change made to your order that is not due to a stock issue on behalf of the stock suppliers will be subject to a change fee of $15.00 in addition to the additional costs to make the changes. Any changes to your order after it has been placed will delay your order, even if you have paid a rush fee and/or have given us a required date. It is very important that you do not place your order until you are certain that's what you want. Once the process begins, our shop starts to work on different aspects of the job, changes become costly and time consuming. 

Returns

At SDF we stand behind our work. We do not offer refunds on any order, but will reprint the order to the correct specs if a serious mistake has been found. If upon receiving your order you find that something is incorrect, you must notify us within 72 hours of the delivery of your product. Once we are notified, we will do everything we can to take care of any issues in a timely manner. If it is determined that you need to return products to SDF for inspection or to be reprinted, the product must be returned within 2 business weeks of the stated claim. If you have contacted us to make a return and we have agreed to cover the shipping costs, all items must be shipped using ground ship methods from UPS or FedEx— any other methods of shipping (3 day ship, 2nd day air, next day air, next day saver) will not be covered. If items are returned after this timeframe, the shipment will be denied and the package will be sent back to you unless prior arrangements have been made.

Quotes

Quotes expire in 30 days. Quotes are not final and are subject to change upon review of your design, plus other uncertain factors such as garment choices. We try our best to respond to you as quickly as possible. You will typically receive a quote within 1-2 business days of your quote request.

Rush Orders

We offer rush services for an additional % of your invoice based on the timeframe and graphics. This fee guarantees that your order will be prioritized above existing orders and will be completed by your due date. There are no returns or refunds on rush orders.

Copyrights

By submitting artwork to us, you warrant that it is not copyrighted by any third party. In the event that you have not checked if the artwork is copyrighted, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless for all liability, damages, and attorney fees that may be incurred in any legal action connected with copyright infringement involving the submitted artwork provided and approved by you.
